I didn't say I killed my wife. I didn't say I killed my wife. I didn't say I killed my wife. I didn't say I killed my wife. I didn't say I killed my wife. I didn't say I killed my wife. I didn't say I killed my wife. Stolen from someone else but his […]

Nielsen Ratings called me. After asking how their call did not violate the DNC (they're not selling anything), I answered 30 minutes of questions. One of my answers included the phrases "because Tom Cruise is in it" (in reply to "What is your primary reason for not planning to see Samurai). Another was "Not every […]

CNN was playing in the car dealer's waiting room today (more on that later perhaps), and one of the stories was Washington, D.C.'s plan to give out condoms to the public to prevent or retard the spread of AIDS. Now I'm sorry, but that's gotta be one of the most bass ackwards types of programs […]

I watched Celebrity Poker on Bravo tonight (well, my TiVo got it for me). It's pretty good, and it showed me what little I know about poker. I think I've only ever seen five-card draw played, according to Eric. Texas Hold-Em and these other types of games seemed odd to me. I quickly picked up […]

I've already posted a QotD on hunting, so I won't be doing that again. Feel free to answer there if the image here stirs you to do so: Today's the first day of buck season (for rifle hunters, anyway) in PA, and my dad got a good sized 8-point buck fairly early in the morning. […]

I hope that Tiger Woods 2004 gets a bit more difficult. I've just finished winning my first tournament, and I'm now on my second. After a rather uneventful 16-under-par first-round performance, I entered the second round of the tournament. The critical stats for that round: 1 eagle 1 no-putt 2 two-putts 7 tap-ins 14 fairways […]

Movies I want to see: Elf Love Actually Master and Commander Mystic River Runaway Jury Shattered Glass The Human Stain Cold Mountain For various reasons. And, since I haven't been to a movie since Matrix3, and the last one before that I can't even recall, perhaps making a list will help get me out to […]

Yesterday, it turns out, was "DVD Day" for me. After a great Monday night playing games with Rob, José, and Gabe, I set out to pick up Mario Kart: Double Dash and Tiger Woods 2004. My first stop: Circuit City to see if they had any new CDs. After picking up Pink's Try This (one-word […]

So, I gave In the Zone a listen tonight. In the words of the man kind enough to send a copy my way: "I didn't realize how much she was trying to be like Madonna until I heard this." Madonna's left her mark all over this album. You could swap the vocals and most people […]

Andy sent me this picture from a vacation of his. I love it when people can't read (though I wonder somewhat why the sign is in English). If you're interested, you too can Visit Malta.

I watch the same TV shows as Steve. Namely, West Wing. I miss Sorkin. This season, though it's not tanking, is relying on cheap drama instead of the intense, thoughtful drama of the Sorkin days. Oh well.

I didn't even know that the Matrix 3 was out today. That almost nobody I know knew it either illustrates just how poorly the Matrix 2 was received. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that 3 is any better: Just came from one of the first showings of Matrix: Revolutions (Germany, don't know why, but it started […]

The Rams beat the Steelers today in a game exemplified by a weak offense, a weak secondary, and a glimmer of hope. A dash of stupid, lame penalties, and a loss for the 1000th Steeler game, and I may just be done writing about the season. Effectively, it should have ended today. Oddly, though, it […]

Not only has Fastlane crashed, but it seems that Mr. Sterling is done for as well. Oh well. At least I've still got West Wing. A Sorkin-less West Wing, but a West Wing nonetheless.
