Downloaded Kiwi the other day for Twitter. I'm still using Tweetie because it handles multiple accounts quite nicely and in a compact interface.
Not a fan of Kiwi, and don't care about themes. Tweetie works well but I'd really, really, really like to see Tweetie 2.0.
I know that may not occur given that the developer has worked for Twitter for awhile, but I think it's a shame if development is held up too long. Sell it off or make it the official in-house app, guys.

A friend of mine recommended that I start to read Vince Flynn books. They're similar to Tom Clancy novels but without the 12-page monologues on how what someone ate for breakfast reminded him of a childhood day that slightly changed his mental makeup and eventually lead to the manner in which he treated the guy he was currently talking to, or something… More action, less jibber jabber.

In flights leaving both Pittsburgh and Phoenix (or Tempe, I suppose) I saw Backscatter machines but was not subjected to anything but the normal process of metal detectors and x-rays for bags.
I was prepared to fight, too (not physically of course) if I had been selected to go through the machine. I might have been more willing to do so on my return flight but I was still prepared to opt out and then to be explicit in not allowing someone to touch me inappropriately.
There's a reason they call it "security theater" - it's all an act, and the sooner people realize that their liberties are being taken away and they're being molested or subjected to unnecessary radiation simply because they choose to or need to travel, the sooner this whole TSA saga can end.

The day began at 5:36am when my alarm went off. Due to the time change, this worked out quite well as we went to bed at about 10:30 or so.
I won't say a lot about the school except that a top-50 instructor in the world came out to observe us. He intended to stay for only a few hours, but ended up hanging out with us until 9pm or so. Awesome to meet him and spend the time with him, and even more awesome that he's so complimentary of us.
This particular instructor resigned his membership in the PGA twenty some years ago, and believes that the PGA has been headed down the wrong path for quite awhile now. I'm still intent on going through the process, but his opinion mirrors the opinion I've heard from others, too. It's interesting… and I'll leave it at that.
We had a great group of students, and a few were repeat customers who continue to get better.

Today I'm traveling to Phoenix, AZ for a Golf Evolution golf school tomorrow.
Chuck Evans, a TGM instructor and one of the top 50 guys in the world, will be observing. Looking forward to meeting him.
We fly through Detroit on the way out and then Atlanta on the way home. I'm looking forward to getting some In-n-Out, hitting some golf balls in some warmer weather, and spending a good amount of time with the Titleist 910 D3 I've got to test out.

Awesome. Check it out - watch bands for the iPod Nano.
But how long does the iPod Nano battery last if you always want it in watch mode? Isn't it a bit annoying to have to click to turn the watch on, or do current nanos let you leave the clock on 24/7?
P.S. Clock mode = a week before recharging, but is that turned on 24/7? I assume so, but hate to assume…

A friend needs a Mac laptop (and not the Air).
The last MacBook release was May of 2010.
The last MacBook Pro release was April 2010.
According to the Buyer's Guide lists both as "don't buy" right now ((The page isn't loading properly right now, but as of ten days ago it they were "don't buy.")).
It's awfully close to Christmas… and today's announcement is from iTunes (about the Beatles I'd guess)… so when will he be able to buy a new MacBook/MacBook Pro?

Why, why, why won't Mac OS X let you choose which base station you connect to? The signal strength to my "Upstairs" base station is much stronger than to my "Basement" one, yet my Mac Pro (second floor) insists on connecting to the one with the weaker signal.
At times, my "Transmit Rate" will drop to 8 or even 1 in the AirPort menu.
Things have finally been pretty stable since the problems I had months ago - I'm not even going to link to all of those posts - but this one is a continual issue. Yes, it makes sense when you have a laptop and you move around, but why won't the Mac Pro either let me choose the base station to connect to or choose the one with the consistently stronger signal?
My other laptops will choose it from time to time (when I wake them from sleep while upstairs, most often - sometimes a few feet from the Mac Pro) and only seem to choose "Basement" when they're physically closer to the basement AirPort.
